Provision of Occupational Therapy and assistive technology services to assess packages of care including night support needs and 1:1 hours, reviewing projects to reduce revenue costs, by promoting independence and least restrictive practices. We have a proven record of achieving significant return on investment made.
OTC has set up specialist learning disability OT services, provided interim staff and management and designed a new statutory, community learning disability OT services for NHS trusts.
We advise care providers on how to use assistive technology to enable the independence of service users and direct their staff to where they need to be. We can save care providers on the cost of staffing, if safe to do so, by providing evidence base and clinical expertise.
We provided Occupational Therapy experts to be a panel member for the Department of Work and Pensions. We critically appraised evidence & made a judgement on claimant’s fitness to work. Provided a standard to examine the validity of the work capability assessment and an alternative approach developed by various disability representation organisations.
We advise housing associations and case management companies on occupational therapy, physical disability, learning disability & dementia. We consult on suitable assistive technology, environmental controls, equipment & adaptations to people’s homes.
